Leeway is an exploratory third space that brings joy and healing to people who are experiencing burnout in this urban contemporary society.
The demands of modern urban life often lead to burnout and disconnection with oneself. This often drives people to spend time alone, and they attempt to escape reality online and find solace in entertainment.
QUESTION
How can spatial design boost human interaction and foster a sense of connection? Furthermore, how can immersing oneself in a third space elevate engagement and enhance mental well-being?

The more third space exists on the street in urban environment, the more ties people together thorugh direct or indirect interaction. Also, the immersiveness and imaginary places would provide inspiration and shine people’s creativity.
Leeway provides an opportunity for individuals to reconcile the demands of modern urban life with the need for healing, restoration and self-exploration.
Inside Leeway
Experiments
During the process, I explored which aspect of the urban environment needs to improved through digital collages. I picked unpleasant places to transform the experience into more pleasant by adding both tangible and intangible elements of nature. Some images worked, but some images were not successful as they were just imagery on the wall, not experience.
